In this week’s episode, I talk about the power of tapping for traumatic events and small.  I offer a few thoughts on using tapping for significant events. Tapping changes the body feelings, the memories fade, and the thoughts change. Tapping brings physical relief to feeling bad and is a powerful tool for the very hard stuff as well as the self-development stuff.

The elements of a traumatic event:

  1. It was unexpected.
  2. We feel isolated and under-resourced.
  3. Something of value was threatened.

I didn’t share this in the podcast, but in her own words, hear what one person so eloquently says about her life with tapping (EFT).

I have used EFT successfully over the past three and a half years to heal myself of nearly 50 years of post traumatic stress. I still do, every day, and it only gets better. One lovely moment of many was when I realised that the war for sanity was over. I don’t need to fight my demons any more. Instead, when I sense their presence I can say ‘ hey demon, psst psst, come here, let’s have a chat about what is going on, while we tap on it. Let’s clear some more of you…’
