I built my first site around 2005 using one of those site builder packages. No matter how much I added nature photos and formatting, it looked wrong and was slow to load. I had a lot of content, but the site was clumsy. 

I already knew Yael, and she gently encouraged me to consider a better website. She created a site that stood out in my field at the time: clean lines, professionally built, good copy, and a look that matched my energy. She was a visionary, knowing that sites can be beautiful and well-functioning.
